Mhlanzana sizatshiya ingqondo yokuthi umuntu ole AIDS uyagijima too much, that is when uMthwakazi will start to look at this awareness ngendlela enhle. It only takes one sexual encounter - one round nje - for one to get that dreaded disease (ngingazi kwabezempilo kumbe ngiyaphosisa lapha). Ungahlala 20 years ungayi ecansini uhlanganise inyawo wavalela ezipheni, but that one day after those 20 years uthi ake ngilabile and ubelomnyama and meet someone olayo (unfortunately engakwazi laye eseseku early stages zakhona). Usekunindele.

Stigmatisation izasibulala, s'true.

These questions are directed at Mthwakazians in general and those in the health care industry in particular:

1)Are there any instances of people who die of full blown AIDS but still testing HIV negative? Can someone comment authoritatively on this issue because we hear such instances are as high as 60% of all AIDS sufferers in some areas.

2)How far true are claims by some leading scientists like Nobel winning scientist Prof Kerry Mullis and other "A" rated scientists like Prof. Duesberg who assert that it takes on average up to 1000 rounds of sexual activity for an HIV positive person to pass it on to the next person (on this one they cite numerous experiments that are carried out on ladies of the night in many African countries where they are exposed to HIV risk daily but they do not contract it. Also cited is instances where the husband could be positive and his wife tests negative yet these persons engage in sex everyday without condom usage, the wife only gets infected over time say after about 1000 "rounds"). This is not an encouragement for amajaha akwaMthwakazi to descend eNgotsheni in large numbers, going for the real meat)

3) Can someone comment on the effectiveness of AZT as an anti-AIDS drug. Why was it banned and prohibited from being used as a drug for cancer chemotherapy in the 1970s only to be dusted out of the draws now as an anti-AIDS drug?

Umcijo wakho wesibili is a very dangerous and irresponsible assertion by these scientist. There are numerous cases of rape (just once) and umuntu ahle athole lowumkhuhlane.

hk hk hk 1000 rounds hk hk ayi ah! that is an average of approximately 3 ngelanga for 1 year. If that was the case, aluba akusela bantu emhlabeni hk hk hk ngoba engotsheni lapha kulabanye abama an average of 5 times ngelanga.

Kuqakathekile bantu to disregard ama research afana lawonala cause it gives abantu false impressions ukuthi it's safe to do so kayi one without protection or umuntu athi ngizakuma ku 700! I have no explanation to what happens kubomama abawulayo abangama participants/subjects of those researches, but has it been proved ukuthi after that 1000, then they are susceptable to lowu mkhuhlane?

Hk hk if you are still on 150, you still have a long way to go baba, you have a mountain to climb. But on a serious note, one must remember that science is a field which thrives on reality based on experiments and provable facts or evidence. It is a field that prides itself with actual experiments that have been carried out to prove the existence or non-existence of a particular item. On the issue of the link between HIV/AIDS, it is indeed interesting to note that such an experiment is yet to be carried out. Dr Robert Gallo (the supposed discoverer of the alleged link), has himself agreed that no such experiment with reference exist.

So it will be obviously interesting to hear from our own people who are not funded by Bayer or Pfizer (drug companies) what they say about about the link between HIV and AIDS. Question 1) in my above post still begs the answer. What are the observations in Mpilo , Central and Tsholotsho Hospitals? . Hawu wozani phela bo mongikazi labo dokotela bakithi.

Bakithi it is indeed true that those who get this HIV menace are not necessarily those who are promiscuous. That is a living fact that no one can contend with. Liqiniso lelo. However it is also true that obaba abalala lapha bavuke lapha lalaphaya kanye labomama abaqethuka lapha lalapha baqethuke lapha laphaya are at a great and increased risk of getting infected with HIV. It is another living and ?stubborn? fact that we can not contend with. If this was not the case why would we bother ourselves encouraging people to stick to one partner? It is true that some get infected by accident or the misfortune of unknowingly having sex with someone who is already infected. That is sad, painful and very unfair to those who get infected that way and face the punishment of dying a slow but painful death that they probably did not deserve. It is also true that some get it through their promiscuous behavior and this is sad too but gives us the opportunity to point out that there is a need for us to modify our sexual behaviour if we want to survive and live longer. Those who get it this way have no one to blame but themselves and they can not turn around and start blaming one another. Therefore criticizing promiscuous behavior has got nothing to do with ?stigmatizing? anyone who has got HIV. This reminds some of us of the way the amaShona people respond when the Ndebele people dare point out that they are marginalizing us. Their reaction to such facts is now too familiar and predictable. The Ndebele people are tribalist. They use the tribal card as a smoke screen to cover up their evil ways towards us. On this issue people are quick to use the ?stigmatization? card to try and silence anyone who dares criticize promiscuity. The ?stigmatization? card is being used here as a smoke screen to cover up and defend those who get HIV not by accident but by engaging in promiscuous behavior in their lives. I am of the opinion that this should be pointed out and no one should be silenced or condemned for saying it because if he dares say so, then he or she will be accused of ?stigmatizing? those who are HIV. Far from it Bantu bakithi
