"Bekani izikhali phansi bantwabami"
"impi isiphelile" "bekani izikhali phansi bantwabami"

Dr Joshua Nkomo's voice from a Loud-speaker in a helicopter hovering over Entumbane when the ZIPRA guerillas were militarily teaching ZANLA a lesson in battlefield in 1980. Zanla spurred and incited by Mugabe tried ukunyenyela abafana be Zipra by ambushing them at dawn but they (ZANLA) were sent packing out of Bulawayo. Only for mdala to be called upon by Mugabe to calm the situation. Had Joshua Nkomo let the Zipra army prevail, Mugabe's Zanu-Pf woud have been defeated outrightly and Mugabe would have been sent to prison for his propensity for violence. But the likes of Welshman Mabhena obviously saw otherwise and ipso facto gave Mdala suicidal advice.

"Kurumidza!!! Kurumidza!!! , nanhasi muchamama madissidents"

A Gukurahundi soldier (later infamously nicknamed Kurumidza) ordering villagers in Bubude Primary school (Tsholotsho, 1984) to move together into one group prior to their brutal torture and killing following the burning down of Mukombe Trading Store (owned by a Tshabi called Mukombe), which was burnt by angry villagers at night as a retaliation against Gukurahundi atrocities.

"The time has come for us to show these people (Ndebele)that we donot only open up our teeth and bark, But that we can surely bite. We will have to teach these people be politically tolerant and a lesson" Mgabe 1983, Addressing a Rally in Mashonaland.

The video is still captured by the Media Monitoring project of Zimbabwe, having been produced by Zimrights. He was refering to the Ndebele for not giving him support. This is the time when the axe of vengeance was laid bare even for Nkomo to see. Instead he foolishly decided to be cool, STUPID.

Re: Famous quotations from politicians - 06/15/05 02:45 PM

"HIV causes AIDS"

The words of an election spin doctor at an election rally of Ronald Reagan that stunned the scientific community on April 24th, 1984, Margaret Heckler, US Secretary of Health and Human Services, stood up before a huge audience of journalists to announce that Dr Robert Gallo and his colleagues discovered a new virus HIV, that was the cause of Aids. Needless to say Dr Gallo had not made such discovery nor had he madee reference to such discovery. Dr Gallo was himself stunned and embarrassed by such a claim. But because this was a political rally with Reagan gunning for re-election, any retraction would be fatally suicidal for his political survival so these infamous words were allowed to stand hoping that they will go away but as we all know they were soon to engulf the whole world like wild fire.

To this day, any one who questions the link between HIV and AIDS is labeled a "dissident"!!!!

"the only truth about Aids is that there is no truth." (Professor Michael Tracey, an internationally recognized researcher and scholar)

"Zanu's motto was "a fight for Shona Majority Rule", making an instant impact politically by going into an armed struggle, a move later mimicked by the Ndebele led Zapu which comprised of mainly semiliterate hero-worshippers of Joshua Nkomo. Nkomo's lieutenants followed him blindly until he committed political suicide on December 22, 1987.

The only few educated people in Zapu were Shonas like Ariston Chambati and Daniel Madzimbamuto whose true ethnic allegiance ceased to be questionable in 1980"

The power of a movement lies in the fact that it can indeed change the habits of people. This change is not the result of force but of DEDICATION, of moral persuasion.
Steven Biko 1946-1977, South African Political Activist

Let there be justice for all.
Let there be peace for all.
Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all.
Let each know that for each the body, the mind and the soul have been freed to fulfil themselves.
Never, never and never again shall it be that this beautiful land will again experience the oppression of one by another and suffer the indignity of being the skunk of the world.
Let freedom reign.
The sun shall never set on so glorious a human achievement!

ANZ sues Moyo, Herald for defamation By Zvamaida Murwira. Last updated: 06/16/2004 20:12:09

""I am not here as Jonathan Moyo the individual but I am here as a Minister of Information, I am here in my official capacity and in that capacity I should discharge my duty as what the President appointed me to do.?""

When asked how many cases he had instituted against ANZ, Moyo said: ?I can?t remember because they are in the business of defaming people, they are too numerous to remember.?""

Moyo can't REMEMBER??? <img border="0" alt="clap" title="" src="graemlins/yelclap.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

More from Moyo

At the end of that month, Moyo issued strict warnings to all journalists to dissuade them from working with any foreign outlets. At a press conference in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city, he accused correspondents of foreign newspapers of sending "lying reports" about conditions in the country. He threatened to arrest these journalists saying that there was "enough space in Zimbabwe's prisons for journalists caught dealing with foreign media houses." He went on to say that President Mugabe sees the corrupt financial sector as the administration's main enemy but he - meaning Moyo - knows that "the enemy is the media who use the pen to lie about this country." He added, "such reporters are terrorists."

Re: Famous quotations from politicians - 08/31/05 09:20 AM

famous quotations should inspire people not ridicle us as people. Mabila uyitshaye grand iquot yakho. Although you changed the words maybe to inspire uMthwakazi. The original was "think of what you can do for your country and not think of what your country can do for you" quotation by the udulterous American presisednt Lyndon B Johnson.

Re: Famous quotations from politicians - 09/01/05 04:10 PM

A point of correction Jimboz the quotation famously used by Mabila was not by Lyndon B Johnson but by J.F. Kennedy originally by Marcus Tullius Cicero an orator, politician, lawyer and philosopher in the ancient Roman Republic, born January 3 106 BC and died December 7 43 BC,cause of death was murder.Dankie.
