Dinyane
Secondary School - Mat. North
Dinyane Secondary School was established in 1984. The school has completed phases I, II and III of the building programme. It has the following infrastructure:- -
an administration block Work has started on an F14 cottage, a library and a science laboratory. The school has a tuckshop as a means of generating income. The issue of a double laboratory is being given top priority. A sum of $91 200-00 was allocated to the school through the Tsholotsho Rural District Council for the initial phase of construction a double laboratory. All materials for this stage have been ordered, the site has been pegged and construction is underway. the parents have been paying a special levy of $20-00 per term per child for the construction of a library. However, since the laboratory has been accorded top priority, the special levy will now go towards the construction of laboratories. it is also hoped that with Plan International now assisting the school, the science project will be complete before the end of 1998. The levy for building has been pegged at $15-00 per child per term. However, after the SDC look and learn tour of Matobo District Secondary Schools in July 1997, the parents have now agreed that the school needs a higher levy in order to rapidly develop its infrastructure.
