The school was established in 1984. It has a catchment area of five primary schools in the ward. The Hwange Rural District Council is the responsible authority and the SDC is responsible for the day to day running of the school.The schoolhas 12 teachers. The total enrolment is 350 pupils. The subjects that are offered at the school are English, Maths, Science, Ndebele, Geography, History, Commerce, Religious Education, Agriculture and Fashion & Fabrics.

 80% of the pupils are the Social Dimensions Fund. However, they still pay levies to the school. The fees and levies structure is as follows.

The school ahs 8 teachers cottages, 4 classroom block (2 classrooms each), an Administration block, library and 10 blair toilets.

The school has no laboratory. After realising the problems that the teachers and pupils were facing by studying science in an ordinary classroom, the school started a fund raising drive to put up a laboratory up to roof level.

 What is now needed is to raise funds for roofing, installing fittings and equipping the laboratory. Any assistance in this regard will be highly appreciated.
