Sangulube Secondary School

Sangulube Secondary School opened its doors to its first intake of pupils on 1 January 1984. The school had a few bulidings and there were accomodation problems for both the pupils and the teachers.

The enrolment at the school stands at 492 pupils. The growth trend stands all between 100 and 120 pupils.

The parents have made outstanding contributions in assisting in the completion of the Home Economics block. Roofing of the building was a community effort and the completion of the tapped water relied on the community. Presently the school is running a goat project.

The parents are prepared to assist by contributing $50 -00 per child per term as Laboratory levy. Despite this support the school still needs support in order to enable the teaching of Physical Science and Biology so that pupils can proceed to 6th form.

Presently there is one block that is divided into two laboratories that are roofed but empty. Any assistance in equipping the laboratories with fittings, furniture and science apparatus will be highly appreciated.

Report provided in 1999.
