Where there is no vision people perish. Africa and Zimababwe in particular has got a serious deficiency in this area.
To unite people and pursue growth you need a bold vision to take you from where you are to greater heights. You have to value all individuals and seek to help each one of them become the best they can be so they can contribute optimally to a common good whilst reaping individual benefits at the same time.
Success is not an accident. You have to work for it. Failure can occur without an effort. Crops in your field may fail because you have not done any weeding for example.
The lack of vision is what causes high unemployment when so much needs. It is what causes poverty when there is so much potential everywhere. It causes people to devalue and despise what they have. It is a major factor behind this unnecessary suffering we see daily.
Where are the visionaries? How can we cultivate a vision of prosperity in future African leaders?

Mcijo, that is the idea to remove the vision. To have a vision you must love to be alife, somebody who loves life will have a vision because they will have hope for tommorrow. To have hope for tommorrow means you will work towards that future because a vision is about tommorrow. Now if you do not love your self but put on an act and pretend to do like the African leaders then you will have no vision. Mugabe and all the others they pretend to do. When there is hunger they get food from donors and distribute that food claiming they made it possible. Did Mugabe plant and harvest anything, no he just pretended to do something.

To be a visionary you need to love and trust your people enough so that they can do. Obviously Mugabe does not trust his people enough to let them be and to do.

A people without Vision will truly perish, that is from proverbs by the way, I'm sure you already knew that. So Mugabe and the rest with the aide of evil, remember and never forget Mugabe is knighted member of the British Royalty. He is loyal to the vision of Britain by accepting the Knighthood. It was his job like many others to destroy hope in Africa, to destroy any vision. They promised this and that as if they actually can do this and that. Then people will say hey, was it not better under colonialism, that is happening because the likes like Mugabe, Obote, Mobutu colluded with all they had, now he wants to pretend he will do something. Who where the advisors of Mugabe, was it not the British until maybe ten years ago. Who trained a post independent Zimbabwean army, was it not the British, why did he throw away the Chinese who where his advisors during liberation, now he runs to them for help and obviously they no longer trust such a person. Because Mugabe did not believe his Shona people can actually do anything he believed the British will do things for him. Who is the advisor of the Central Bank in pretoria, certainly not a black economist. Because with all his fan fare and talk, Mbeki does not believe his people can actually do. If you have such a low opinion of yourself how then can you have a vision. That was the whole idea.

A people with a vision are dangerous, Lumumba told the Belgians to their face we do not need you we will do for ourselves, What happaned, death CIA. Biko said but we also can be doctors, we have a mind, what next death. Anyone who talked of competence was an enemy of whites, why when they talk of humanity, we can never understand evil. Therefore the only worthwhile leaders where those who promised no vision except being an imbecille, not those who believed in work, never, they do not believe that Africans can work.

It takes a man of vision to build sky scrapers and pyramids and a Mthwakazi nation, such people are considered dangerous. Does Jackson have a vision, does Ms. Condeleeza rIce, i doubt it, they believe you must be under, not equal. As China rises with vision the world fears, but only the white people, other people could not care.

However visions must not be misplaced, Pakistan today tested a cruise missile when eighty percent of the population is dirt poor. A mistake of the soviets.

A vision can only be backed as Inkundla say by a mental of physical effort directed at accomploshing something. When that right is taken away, you get Africa.

l nearly failed to articulate what you were trying to say up untill l sensed that you are blaming Africa as dark continent. Well thus very true and they are number of reason that contributed to African poorness. African scholars have blamed colonial lagacy as a factor that exacerbate Africa to come up with visionless leaders , who gets into poor to loot state resources and gain material wealth. Such leaders , too authoritative, represent nothing but themselves, they donot fight pple's cause but their cause.

Logically can wer blame our selves as Africans because for sure it does not help in Africa for alternative leadership, equally election in Africa are merely processes to alternate greedy , looters and autocrats
