On another note, does the election of John Nkomo to the position of Speaker be the result of SA's 'quiet diplomacy' and a way to put him in line for the presidency?

While I do not compare our suffering under the Shona people as a block, to that of the Karanga being sidelined in the leadership of ZPF, I would say it is indeed good to fan this division between these groups and ensure they engage in a turf political war and split if possible. However, I have doubts that, we could take advantage of this, as the people from the north have proved time and again that when it comes to the Ndebeles they quickly shun their differences, come together and build inkatha to face what they perceive as a sworn common enemy, namely the Ndebeles.

As long as Ndebeles are not being used as frontline footsoldiers to fight other people's battles then other people should feel free to sort out their own problems.

The nomination of John Nkomo as Speaker of the House of Punishment is a transparent attempt by Mgabe to integrate an Ndebele bloc with the Zezuru hegemonic structure in power and should not be allowed to deceive anyone.

Karangas are certainly entitled to address the issue of discrimination and marginalisation which they are now facing from Zezurus.

If they have to resort to any means necessary to assert their interests, let them do it.

It is their democratic right.

These Vitori people should be encouraged to understand they face no opposition in that respect from Mthwakazi.
