bosso chairman Ndebele seeks another term in office

Highlanders chairman Kennedy Ndebele has made his interest clear to stand for the same post when elections at the club, set for January 29, are held.
A former club secretary, Ndebele was elected chairman of the Bulawayo giants in January last year and will be seeking another term in office.
"I am still willing to stand again as the club chairman. But that will depend on whether I will be nominated to stand," said Ndebele.
The
Highlanders boss also revealed that the Bulawayo giants were still negotiating with all the players who were on their books with a view to retaining them this season.
Ndebele said they would only approach the new acquisitions they had targeted for the 2006 season.
"What we are trying to do at the moment is to retain all the players we had from last season.
"The team manager (Emmett Ndlovu) and coach Madinda Ndlovu are doing that but they are in South Africa with the Under-23 team at the moment.
"However, we have retained almost all the players and we are just tying up the loose ends with them," said Ndebele.
Ndebele said they had only released defender John Kapenya who was on loan to Dynamos.
"The only player we’re certain of not using this season is John Kapenya.
"Remember he was on loan to Dynamos last year and they have said they want to retain his services".
Although Ndebele chose not to talk about the players they intend to retain,
bosso are understood to have swooped on Amazulu’s Vusa Nyoni.
The national Under-23 captain had been a target of champions CAPS United, who had already registered him for the African Champions League.
But sources indicated that
bosso had, through Vusa’s father, negotiated a deal to take the talented midfielder across town to
Highlanders while Buymore and Dynamos are also claiming to have joined the race for the player’s signature.
Ndebele also said his side would only accept negotiations for their most influential player — Tapuwa Kapini — if approached by a foreign club for the services of the Warriors goalkeeper.
"If any foreign side wants Kapini, then we will let him go and we will gladly buy him an air ticket and accompany him to the airport.
"I would only be worried if any local side wants him. But it will be good to have Kapini going to any club outside the club not only for the sake of
Highlanders but for Zimbabwe," said Ndebele.
bosso will also be without the services of left back Gift Lunga, who has already joined CAPS after falling out with the former champions.
