I recently got to watch the movie 'Hotel Rwanda' and it certainly touched me.The Tutsis where killed in a very painful way by the and it made realise how my own brothers and sisters were butchered by the gukurahundi..if thats how it happened gukurahundi can't just be ignored like it never did a thing.something must be done!!

If you have not seen this movie by now you definately have to make a plan to see it,it will definately touch you even if you dont have a heart..

I have the DVD as a collection its very touching really its like Shindler's List the very same thing...when you really think about it you understand the issue ye Gukurahundi and why people have this hatred.....

The movie also brings out the need for people to stand up and lead.

I SAW U HOTEL RWANDA AFTER I HAD SEEN THIS OTHER DOCUMENTARY WHICH WAS DONE BY A CANADIAN WHO HAD BEEN THERE DURING THE RWANDA GENOCIDE.INGABE IBUHLUNGU UKUBUKELA(HOTEL RWANDA)BUT I DONT THINK IT REALLY SHOWED HOW MUCH THOSE PEOPLE REALLY SUFFERED,I GUESS ITS MORE PAINFUL SEEING THE REAL THING,NGOBA YEYI NGAKHALA ZALA UKOMA NGIZE NGIBONE I DOCUNENTARY YAKHONA.

BUT HOTEL RWANDA IS A MUST SEE TO ALL THOSE ABANGAKAYIBONI,IT REALLY IS.BIG UP TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN ACTORS,THEY DID A GOOD JOB TRYING TO SPEAK THE RWANDAN FRENCH FILLED ENGLISH ACCENTS,ESPECIALLY U DESMOND DUBE(SURBUBAN BLISS) AND THAT GUY WHO WAS THULAS IN YIZO YIZO 1(BIZUMUNGU IN THE MOVIE).

I have just watched it as well Mabila, i hope people won't read much in that, because you were in your place and in my place. What i got out of the movie is that when a revolution takes place people must be prepared and ready to defend the civilians. Therefore meticulous planning is of uttermost importance in order to avoid the loss of innocent lives.

Rite atleast people have watched that one.

To anyone ongabe elelist of such movies, movies that will make us know what happened and whats happening angayifaka lapha so that we will be able to look for those movies or documentaries.

I still remember there was one prominent activist owesiNdebeleni who had hinted that he has a documentary on Gukurahumdi, I asked for the documentary and the guy promised me, gave him a blank video tape unfortunately I did not get the documentary. The guy is one of the Byo Dialogue or that organisation which came from Byo Dialogue. If there is anyone with such documentaries siyacela bakwethu.

I was also meant to understand that the British Council has such things BUT I do not know how we can access them. If anyone has an idea please assist.

It would be unfair to dogs to call labaya bantu izinja. There is no movie that can effectively capture the emotions and feeling that this whole issue evokes for abantu bakaMthwakazi.

Movies and documentaries are just sneak previews for people in the West.
