In his last CD that I know of, released in 2001, Matonto issued 8 tracks. Two of those are shona and 6 Ndebele. So to put things in perspective, one would think from reading the above inputs that he now only sings in shona!

Also is it not ironic that he has produced a number 1 song and that song happens to be shona. The lesson I get from him is that Ndebele's are very slow to support their own when he does right and quick to criticise when the percieve wrong.

the thing with most influential people from home is that they take odinary people for granted. i believe that Matonto has been associated with this forum for a couple of years now. what i am not sure about is ubudlelwane bakhona bungakanani. maybe yibo osibalukhulu lapha or maybe there is a story behind it all. what do you make of dem Matonto guys coming up with a Ndebele album and not getting nough sales on it. Was it crap one might ask?. Hell no, they were not given that very platform abangayinikeza ku zhakata etc. linanzelele uEzra kasekho eZBC. so theoriticaly there aint no dj olamainterest abo at zbc whatever. uMalachi cannot do it on his own. Besides the guys being amashort by birth i got nothing against them but sorry im not going to buy their cd.
