This is a subject we have talked about many times and many poeple think that enough words on this subject but the fact is that we are going extinct.

The general belief is that as many Ndebeles are switching from speaking Ndebele to shona for various reasons and that Ndebele people are more willing to have idols who are not Ndebele than those who are Ndebele and that the only Ndebeles who will remain are those in South Africa.

Chances of a Ndebele state ever existing are so small and thus chances of this tribe making it are dwindling also. I am not being an alarmist but this is my honest view as I assess a lot of my friends. Most of them think that if you have to be someone in Zimbabwe you must relocate to Harare, and that way your children loose touch. This is a very important indicator that as long as we are udnerdeveloped our own people will run away from home and eventually hate who they are as they think it is the reason why they are poor and miserable.

Now when we last spoke about how we can make ourselves worth I suggested that we should establish media of our own! Many people thought this was not true but remember you can not ignore the impressions that people make about you because you are to them and sometimes to yourself those impressions. Media like this forum is an important tool.

Inkundla is perfect but we must use it as a place for a pro-Ndebele conspiracy ( if one of you dose not believe in consipiracy then they are not yet in this world: just as a pointer they must read the transcript of Bush Blair conversation and notice when Bush say he intends to tell Kofi Annan to put pressure on someone) but there must be a platform through which we engage the world until they understand our cry. We should be strong internal and external.

In the view of the above we have setup an online news analysis paper which will not immediately appear to be a Ndebele newspaper but will eventually bring the truth to which I think most Shona people don't despute but have never had about about how we are systemical and sytimatical removed from success, leadership, personal pride and business by the existing violence of the sociopolitical structure and culture in Zimbabwe as developed and sustained in the past 40 years. Please visit the www.zimpoliticalanalyst.net for more think about how to built it so eventually it can shape local and international influnce or just search for Zimbabwe Political analyst in any search engine or search for Zimbabwe newspapers on google and you will come across the Zimbabwe political analyst.

I think we should all manage to see to become something at the end of life. We must now realise that the world over the Zimbabwe genocide is not accepted, and its because we never told it, we expected them to understand at to know. When it was told it was easy for Mugabe to say that was extremist views, we must do something wise!

I rest my case

Well Madoda izinto ziyenzeka ngakhoke nxa singasazange sazilondoloza ngobuciko obukhulu sizaphaphama sesisele sibathathu! Omunye obaba wesiNdebeleni kasangikhulumisi ngoba ngale khonokho okuthi nxa ngiliNdebele kumele wonke oza kimi azi lokho njalo akuhloniphe. Uthi kufanele ngivume ukuthi sisesibangeni sesibili.

Nxa lilokhe lilethemba madoda hayi lami ngizasala ngibambile, kodwa kuyesabisa

It is erroneous to assume that the rich traditions and language of the Ndebele peoples resides in the very few urban elite. Akufike emaGuswini eNkayi,Lupane, ESigodini, kuGwayi, Matojeni, Plumtree, Mfilabuso, Khezi kunye lako Ngungumbane uzizwele iSiNdebele esilapho! Kasiyindawo iSiNdebele mnewethu! The cultural revival taking Bulawayo by storm through Siyaya, aMakhosi Theatre, Albert Nyathi and many other groups should never be underestimated. For all you know, over weekends amaNdebele eHarare uwathola ehlangene enhlokweni (Khazi can testify) njalo babuthana mthonjeni munye phakathi kweviki. Abalahlekayo ngabendela khona ikakhulu abanewethu nxa sebedle imisila yemibankwa njengokutsho kuka Gaselomhle!
Angiboni ukuthi ungawabutha kangakanani amaNdebele through the internet bezihlalele emizini yabo emaphandleni.

Kufuneka iparadayimu shifthi kithi sonke sibone ukuthi until and unless we address the problem at its root cause, we are all wasting our time. We have to fight for a conducive environemnt where all cultural expressions will be enjoyed by all. That comes through a political shift!!

I agree with you that it is an incomplete analysis if it is based upon a section of the community whose results can not be generalised on the whole Ndebele society.

But as much as that is an error I think it is an attempt to stay in comfort of the past to say that the situation as it obtaimns is comfortable. Notice that as a matter of fact the people who are now actively destroying the Ndebele and infact representing us in major groupings and situations potray the image that a Ndebele must deny who they are for them to prove that they are not tribalists.

These people again have massive influence over the whole society. I am talking of the few Ndebele people in ZANU PF (whom I do not know) but some people in major opposition parties, employed in situations that give them massive influence on the grass roots.

Massive cultural changes don't take a long time and a lot of people. Maggie Thatcher changed the communal lifestyle of the British in a lot less than 6 years and today the British live as though they were individuals and neighbours don't know each other!

I stand to be corrected but I think a close examination of who is affected means we are nearing the end despite the massive continued pepertuation of the Ndebele culture in different rural areas.

Just imagine how many Ndebele people you meet will tell you that we deserved to be killed because it was war. Those people will ever claim to have inside ZAPU and ZANU information! Imagine how many Ndebele people have changed from Ndebele to shona language completely and feel that speaking Shona makes them better acceptable people.

I will ask again, what are we if we are not just perceptions, and we should deal with perceptions more seriously.
