I probably dont much about UKUBUYISA but that wont stop me in contributing the little knowledge and experiences i was exposed to ekhaya.

- I remember ukuthi when ubababomkhulu died, after a year wabuyiswa (Is it always after a year)

- Kwakule jongosi elimnyama eletheswa ukhulu and from then it was called Babomkhulu. It grew up to be inkunzi eyayisiqholo, ingalimi and ingatshaywa (is that the norm? is it always a young black bull?)

- Ugogo had been wearing black clothes all year and stopped doing so soon after umbuyiso.

- I recall ukuthi i used to see these ceremonies being held ebusika (around August).

I like your observation that, ukubuyisa is usually done ngo August. I wanna know why? Personally, my research has found ukuthi umuntu ubuyiswa anytime of the year - ayikho imigomo nemi bandela ethi makubuyiswe ngesikhathi thizeni. Kuphela nje uma unawo amandla - uyawenza umsebenzi wo mbuyiso.
