A PROMINENT Zimbabwean businessman in Indianapolis, United States, has been arrested together with his girlfriend charged with the theft of over 30 000 prescription pills from several phamarcies.

Muzobanzi Ncube, 35, who owns the Zambezi Bar in Indianapolis faces trial in October alongside his co-accused girlfriend Monica Mutamba, 25.

Noblesville police say Ncube, who worked as a pharmacist at several locations in Indiana, is charged with seven felony counts of dealing in a narcotic drug, and two counts of theft.

Mutamba, who police say lives with Ncube in Indianapolis, is charged with seven felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II substance, and two felony counts of receiving stolen property.

Both remained in the Hamilton County Jail Thursday on $1 million bonds.

Capt. Joe Robbins of the Noblesville Police Department said Ncube was working at the pharmacy late Thursday night and early Friday morning last week when he took about 8,000 prescription pills, including hydrocodone, from the business.

Ncube then gave them to Mutamba, who picked them up at a drive-through window. Authorities confiscated the pills. Ncube was arrested at the pharmacy, and Mutamba was arrested after driving away, Robbins said.

Ncube also worked at pharmacies in Seymour and Anderson, and is suspected of taking pills from those locations. He is suspected of taking about 30,000 pills from CVS outlets in Seymour, Anderson, and the Noblesville location, and illegally selling some of the prescription medication. Authorities searched the pair's Indianapolis home, and found about 10,000 of the missing 30,000 pills, Robbins said.

I have never met or seen a Ndebele who defends Shonas like you do. It could be very easy for simple minds like mine to misintereprete this determination to defend Shonas at all cost. I am still waiting to see you defending the Mthwakazi nation with the same vigour, this i have not witnessed so far. It possible that maybe you ignore this because most of us do that in this forum and therefore you want people to consider and respect the other side. This might be a good thing, it also teaches us tolerance of divergent views and not to be furious recklessly and unnecessary.

But i beg you to consider the present and the near past, you will realise that people's hatred is justified, it is not that they just hate Shonas for no reason. i don't support hate of any sort, but i support anger, wellmanaged and controlled anger, but i do understand why people hate Shonas and i do sympathise with them, although i believe that we now have to move to a better and higher level than that. At this point in time we would be reckless and irresponsible to ask our people not to hate Shonas, the right time will come to do that, that would be when Mthwakazi is free. How can you fight against your friend, how can you fight against somebody you love?, therefore asking our people to love Shonas is like asking them to accept the status quo, that is not my wish, that is not Mthwakazi's wish. For now let us forget about love for the Shona people until that time when we are free. That's when reconciliation programs would be started.

Lastly but not least, why do you exclude yourself, we consider you as a Mthwakazian, but the way you write now, it seems to me that you have decided not to be a part and parcel of Mthwakazi. This is one devil of a guy who has a rabid hatred of these people. He hates them with a passion in real life. Ask guys (in this forum) who know him personally like Ncomanzi, Sibambamahawu, Sirumula, Gazlam, Hlathi and others.
I remember him 2 years ago threatening our former teacher (who is Shona) when the said teacher paid him a surprise visit. He literally told him to pack his bags and go. He told the teacher as follows: "me and you are different, you could be an agent of Mugabe, so please go now". The poor teacher was on his way to the UK via South Africa. I had to transport the soul to the airport(out of mercy) but I got a kick in the teeth afterwards: he (teacher) has never foned me to thank me or tell me how his journey was.
This Mntongenakudla is a guy who recently declined a senior job offer because one of the people in the panel of interviewers was a Shona in some Johannesburg listed company. I tried to reason with him to take the offer but he was adamant that he will never work for the same company with a Shona. That is why he decided to pack his bags and head for Mthaniya to escape these people who frustrated him also at UZ during his varsity days.
Gents iam explaining this because a lot of my friends here in the forum have requested me (privately) to try and reason with Mntongenakudla.
His objective in his own words is: "to prepare Mthwakazians for a democratic future, so that they get used to differing and contrary viewpoints". This he says is one small way of curbing future dictatorship even within the liberated Mthwakazi.

So let us rather debate issues knowing that the gentleman at stake actually hates Shonas more than most of us. I hope this will influence the debate on this issue in some way or the other. Obviously some people may have a hatred for some thing and at the same time wanting justice prevail beyond their hatred. Iam saying for example that 2 people(Ndex vs Shox) before the courts might be brought before a high court judge like my good neighbour Prof Ben Hlatswayo, but if the Ndex is indeed guilty he will find him guilty out of concience and true justice.
